Staying home when we are sick is an act of love we do out of care and concern for each other. In general, if your child is sick, please keep them home so they can recover.
A child will not be admitted to preschool if they:
- Are unable to participate in group care
- Have had a fever over 100.4F within the last 48 hours
- Have had vomiting/diarrhea within the last 48 hours
- Have a bad cold or dry hacking cough
- Have an undiagnosed rash; in the case of chicken pox – if scabs are still raw
- Have an earache or bad nasal discharge
- Have a red/pink eye with drainage or crusting
- Have pediculosis (head lice). The child may return when no nits (eggs) are present
- If your child has been diagnosed with Strep throat they may return after 48 hours of antibiotic treatment

If your child has had a positive Covid-19 test result within the past 5 days, they may NOT enter the building until at least 5 days after they tested positive (day 0 is the day they were tested).
Before entering the building, they must also have been fever free for 24 hours (without fever-reducing medication); AND any symptoms are improving or non-existent. Approval must be received from the preschool Director before returning to class.
Masks are optional, except for the following situations:
- Masks are required if you or your child has received a positive COVID-19 test within the past 10 days.
- Masks are required if you or your child has have been exposed to COVID-19 within the past 10 days (day 0 is the day they were exposed).
